Construction will soon begin on a $15 million cancer center at the Auburn Community Hospital.
While it won’t be connected to it, the cancer center will be on the hospital’s main campus.

The hospital says the project will begin this week with final preparation.
As for completion, hospital officials say that should come by 2024.
ACH is collaborating with Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse to make the project a reality.
Physicians from Upstate will be utilized at the center.
“Our goal is always to put our patients first, and we plan to do everything we can to make sure this construction will not cause any problems for our patients who are coming to ACH for care,” Scott Berlucchi ACH President and CEO said in a release.
Construction could cause some minor headaches for those in the area, but hospital officials hope for that to be minimized as much as possible.
