Chick-fil-A in Florida tries out the three day work week plan
According to My Twin Tiers, the plan is to create “pods” of workers, which is basically one group of people.
Each pod will work three 13-14 hour shifts each week, and pods will rotate throughout the week.
The system was created in February and has boasted a 100% retention rate among management.
A job listing for the location recently saw more than 420 applications submitted.
The system was created after employees had joked about being exhausted, with many of them work up to 70 hours a week.
Pods are also trying to compete with each other as incentive.
Not only are employees on board with the system, but there has been an increase in sales as well. This location could do as much as $17 million in sales for 2022, which is double the profits of an average Chick-fla-A.
