The Cayuga County Health Department says water production at the Auburn Water Treatment Plan will temporarily halt.
Work is taking place on the plan Thursday, so water production will pause temporarily.
Officials say it will only take about eight hours for the work to be completed.
There could be temporary reductions in pressure, but by the end of the day service should be normal throughout the city.
Those with questions can call the Cayuga County Health Department Environmental Division at (315) 253-1405 or the treatment plant at (315) 253-8754.
