Firefighters from multiple districts were called to a structure fire at the Walmart Supercenter in Webster on Monday.
The call came in during the afternoon hours. The store is technically located in the town of Penfield, but is located along a strip of Empire Boulevard commonly referred to as Webster.
The fire started in the back of the grocery section. A large amount of smoke could be seen rolling toward the front of the building.
The fire was put out around 4 p.m. after the building evacuated. No injuries were reported. However, the cause of the fire was determined to be burning plastic.
