Days after a school threat was investigated by police and prompted a response from officials in the city of Auburn, another incident has resulted in the arrest of a minor.

This time, a 12-year-old was arrested after police were contacted late-Monday afternoon by a parent of an Auburn Junior High School student, who said they saw a screenshot that pointed to a person having a gun at school.

Investigators traced the message back to a 12-year-old Auburn Junior High School student. The student’s parent was notified of the message, and as result, the child was charged with making a terroristic threat.

The Auburn Enlarged City School District said it took action. As for the investigation into the incident, police say those with information should call (315) 258-9880, or email [email protected].
