The Starbucks coffee shop inside Eastview Mall in Victor has unionized.
The vote was 8-0 in favor of unionization.
Employees at the Eastview store say that since filing to unionize – they have faced intense union-busting efforts by Starbucks.
“I think there’s some general resistance across all the stores,” shift supervisor Kelwin Gleber told RochesterFirst.com. “We saw the firing of another organizer in Buffalo today as they continue their scorched-earth union-busting campaign across all these stores, but that’s not really going to stop us.”
This serves as the third location to unionize in the Rochester area.
