Police say on Friday around 8 a.m. officers were dispatched to a complaint regarding a subject pointing a gun at a motorist.
The motorist was traveling north on South Albany Street approaching Clinton Street, when the suspect was observed riding a bicycle southbound toward the motorist.
The suspect was described as a black male, in his 20s, wearing a grey sweatshirt with the hood up.
Police say the suspect appeared to be holding a black handgun, pointed at the motorist. The suspect continued southbound and the motorist drove away to a safe location.
Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a suspect.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information that may help investigators is asked to contact IPD.
