Victim identified in Williamson murder: Suspect not identified due to age despite seriousness of charges

State police have provided an update on the ongoing murder investigation in Williamson.

The victim of the stabbing that happened last Friday was identified as 19-year-old Arthur Edick.

It happened at a location on Ridge Road around 7:45 p.m.

A 17-year-old, who was not identified due to age, was charged with second-degree murder and burglary.

He was remanded to the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center without bail.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has assisted state police with the investigation.

Police said Edick was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
