New York State Police at Ithaca are investigating a fatal crash that occurred just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 10.
Shea T. Colbert, 20, of Bridgewater, New Jersey was traveling southeast on Coddington Road in the town of Ithaca when he reportedly exited the roadway and crashed into multiple trees.
Police say an investigation was conducted at the scene early Saturday, reported WENY.
Colbert was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the 20-year-old was the vehicle’s only occupant.
Colbert was a student at Ithaca College at the time of his death. According to WSYR-TV, he was a sophomore in the school of business at the college.
NYSP was assisted by Bangs Ambulance, Ithaca Fire Department and the Medical Examiner.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
