Developers of a large solar farm proposed in South Cayuga County are inviting residents to meet with them in a series of ‘office hours’ events.
The proposed solar farm would be in the towns of Genoa and Venice.
ConnectGen is moving through the development process, looking to build a 300-megawatt solar generating facility on land it would lease from property owners totaling 1,620 acres.
It would be located along Route 34.
It’s called the Harvest Hills Solar Farm. It has already secured state financial support.
The office hours event will be taking place today from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., then from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Company officials will be present to answer questions the public might have about it.
