The former Breen’s grocery store in Palmyra is gone.
The 31,000 square foot store sat at 611 East Main Street and was shuttered after operating in the village since the 1960s.
The grocery business was much different then.
Fast-forward to present day and the property was being demolished. A Byrne Dairy will open up at that location.

While it’s the first time in around 100 years that the village of Palmyra doesn’t have its own, full-service grocery store – the Byrne Dairy development is on track.
The new locations should be open by mid-November.
