A man was found dead in a sailboat on Lake Ontario today, multiple news outlets have confirmed.
Crews responded just after 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 15 after receiving a report of an unresponsive man in a sailboat off the shores of Ontario Beach Park.
The sailboat was apparently floating near the pier, according to 13Wham.
City of Rochester Fire Department and Coast Guard officials were at the scene.
News10 NBC reports the adult male found dead was in his 50s.
Ontario Beach Park, also known as Charlotte Beach, is on Rochester’s northwest side.
The 39-acre park is a popular local attraction featuring a large beach, carousel, ice cream and restaurants.
