Around 1:23 p.m. on Friday the Ithaca Police Department was dispatched to a report of shots fired at the intersection of West Clinton Street and South Corn Street.
Upon arrival officers spoke with multiple people who reported a black SUV with tinted windows chasing a dark blue or purple sports car with the operator of the SUV firing multiple rounds at the car.
Both vehicles fled the scene prior to officer arrival.
No injuries or property damage was observed or reported.
The investigation remains active.
