The Rochester Red Wings were blanked by the Columbus Clippers, 2-0, in the series opener on Tuesday night at Huntington Park. With the loss, Rochester has dropped 12 consecutive games.
Cade Cavalli started for the Red Wings and surrendered a couple of runs on five hits over four innings while walking one and striking out four.
Francisco Perez, Will Harris, and Matt Cronin had scoreless outings in relief.
Rochester had just four hits, two of them were for extra bases.
The Red Wings will try to snap the skid on Wednesday with Daniel Ponce de Leon on the mound. The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
