Syracuse Mets fall short to Omaha, 6-3

The Syracuse Mets fell to the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-3, on Saturday night at NBT Bank Stadium.

Connor Grey started for Syracuse and allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits over five innings of work.

Mark Vientos launched his 18th home run of the season for the Mets. Nick Plummer and Deven Marrero also drove in runs.


Drew Waters homered twice for the Storm Chasers.

Trevor May made a rehab appearance for Syracuse and surrendered a run. Justin Dillon and Jose Rodriguez also gave up runs while Phillip Diehl had a scoreless outing.

Syracuse will go for the series split on Sunday. The first pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m.
