Deputies say a Canandaigua woman was arrested after taking a sedan for a test drive from a local dealership and never returning with it.
Stacy Ann Cooper, 50, of Canandaigua was taken into custody without incident for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misapplication of property.
This resulted from a complaint by Heritage Motors in Canandaigua, who reported that Cooper took a vehicle for a test drive and never returned. Deputies investigated, finding that Cooper returned the vehicle to another dealership, then test drove another vehicle from that dealership and hadn’t returned the second one either.
Cooper was located at her residence and issued appearance tickets. The charges will be answered at a later date.
