New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom will pitch in Syracuse again this week.
The right-hander will start Wednesday’s game against the Omaha Storm Chasers at NBT Bank Stadium, the team announced Monday night. The game is slated for 12:05 p.m.
This will be deGrom’s second appearance with Syracuse. The 34-year-old pitched four innings for Syracuse on July 14.
It’s been well over a year since deGrom last pitched at the big-league level, as he has dealt with several injuries. He is currently working his way back from a stress reaction he suffered in his shoulder.
