Farmington man charged after lurking through backyards

Police say a Farmington man was arrested early Wednesday morning following investigation into an individual lurking through backyards.

According to a news release, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ryan P. Westbrook, 29, of Farmington for driving while intoxicated.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop upon observing Westbrook lurking through backyards in Farmington. During the investigation, it was discovered that Westbrook was one of two males lurking around neighborhood yards. Deputies detected signs of impairment while interviewing Westbrook and subjected him to standardized field sobriety tests. He provided a breath sample which yielded a BAC of .09%.

Westbrook will appear in the Town of Farmington Court at a later date.
