The Ovid Big M Supermarket has been named Business of the Year by the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce.
The longtime supermarket, which serves all of South Seneca, made it through all of the market forces that have challenged businesses of all sizes since 2020.
For that effort, as well as the grocery store’s service to the community – the Chamber named it 2022 Small Business of the Year.
“This award belongs to our amazing team of employees as well as our loyal and dedicated customers,” Ovid Big M said in a post on Facebook. “We are all beyond excited.”
The Big M has a rich history in the village of Ovid, serving as one of the few remaining locally owned and operated grocery stores in the Finger Lakes region.
