Fort Hill Performing Arts Center (Fort Hill PAC) is excited to announce its upcoming performance schedule, leading off with Stanley Jordan’s “Stanley Jordan Plays Jimi”, on August 18.
“Stanley Jordan is an absolutely incredible musician,” said Sueann Townsend, Executive Director, Fort Hill PAC. “If you are a jazz fan, you will love him. If you are a Jimi Hendrix fan, you will love him.” We are just so excited to welcome him and so many other world-class performers this coming season.”
While “Stanley Plays Jimi” is a tribute show, it promises to be more than pure imitation. In addition to Jimi Henrix classics, Jordan adds a few original compositions to the setlist.
“His original songs could have been written by Jimi himself”, added Townsend. “This truly is the Hendrix of today.”
Other performances scheduled to take place at Fort Hill PAC in 2022 include folk/country rock legend Roger McGuinn, singer songwriter Mary Fahl, Elton John tribute band, Bennie and the Rest.
