The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a 31-year-old following an incident that happened on July 14.
According to a news release, Archie Cole Castle, 31, of Penn Yan was taken into custody after he went to an address where a package was believed to be delivered.
Police say he was under the impression that a package that belonged to him was delivered there.
Castle is accused of physically menacing the resident when they answered the door. When police arrived, he fought them.
Following an investigation it was determined that the package was not delivered to the address.
Castle was charged with menacing and resisting arrest. He was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
