Gleyber Torres and Matt Carpenter each hit two-run home runs while Aaron Judge smacked his league-leading 31st homer of the season. Giancarlo Stanton also collected an RBI.
Jonathan Loaisiga, who was reinstated from the injured list before the game, made his first appearance since May 22 and really struggled. The right-hander allowed three runs on four hits and recorded just two outs. Lucas Luetge also struggled as he surrendered three runs (two earned) over an inning of work. Albert Abreu had a scoreless outing.
The Yankees will try to bounce back on Friday night as they open a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox. The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
