At the same meeting, the board appointed Michael Olley as the new middle school principal, according to the agenda.

Olley will serve a four-year probationary appointment beginning on August 8, 2022 through the tentative date of August 31, 2026. The position comes with a starting salary of $136,947.

Olley currently serves as the principal for Soule Road Middle School, part of the Liverpool Central School District, according to The Citizen.

Caraccio assumed his role as high school principal last Wednesday, July 6. He’s serving a three-year probationary appointment tentatively ending on July 5, 2025 with a starting salary of $144,545.

“We are so pleased to welcome Mike Caraccio to Skaneateles High School,” said Superintendent of Schools Eric Knuth, according to a release.

“Mike is a proven leader who recognizes the value of building strong relationships and connections with students and families.  This is an especially unique opportunity as so many of those relationships and connections have been formed during his time leading Skaneateles Middle School.  His dedication to student growth and learning is remarkable and makes him the ideal person to lead Skaneateles High School into the future.”
