Savannah man arrested after violating probation

Police say a Savannah man was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Wayne County Court.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Martin D. Rewa, 38, of Savannah for violation of probation.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in 2017 after Rewa was placed on probation as a condition of his release.

Rewa was sentenced to nine months in jail.
