The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on State Route 96 in the town of Victor around 8:30 a.m.
Deputies along with Fishers Fire Department, Victor Fire Department, and Victor Farmington Ambulance responded to a portion of Route 96 for a fatal crash involving a motorcycle.
The operator was identified as Brian Wickman, 28, of Victor, who was traveling north on Route 96 near the I-490 ramp when he struck the right front quarter panel of a van entering the ramp.
The operator of the second vehicle was sent to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Deputies said Wickman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Route 96 was closed for three hours while the investigation unfolded.
