For the second straight week, a Syracuse Mets player has earned a weekly award.
On Tuesday, Mets infielder/outfielder Travis Blankenhorn was named International League Player of the Week.
This comes just one week after outfielder Daniel Palka secured the award.
Blankenhorn hit .600 (12-for-20) with six RBIs, two home runs, three doubles, five walks, and six runs scored in six games against the Rochester Red Wings from June 20-26.
This is the first time that Blankenhorn has won a weekly award in Triple-A.
