Two arrested after person sprayed with pepper spray, threatened with what appeared like a handgun in Ithaca

On Monday around 7:18 p.m. police responded to the 300 block of Elmira Road for an assault involving a weapon.

The victim in this case was allegedly sprayed with pepper spray by Zhyana Masker, who was arrested after investigation.


The victim also had an alleged handgun pointed in their face by a second victim, identified as Jacole Morris.

Officers located a ‘BB gun’, which was intended to look like a Glock 17 handgun.

Masker was charged with harassment and released. Morris was charged with attempted assault and released.
