Police say a Penn Yan woman was arrested following an altercation.
According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Bethany E. Thornton, 26, of Penn Yan for harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Thornton subjected a 14-year-old to unwanted physical contact during an altercation.
Thornton will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer charges.
