Millions of Americans benefitted from stimulus checks when they went out, and now states are working to take care of their own residents.
In fact, residents in two states can expect a stimulus payment in June.
These states are Maine and New Mexico.
Maine stimulus payments
Around 858,000 residents in the state of Maine can soon expect stimulus checks worth $850 each.
Married couples will see $1,700 in all.
In order to be eligible you need to file your taxes by Oct. 31, 2022.
You cannot be claimed as a dependent by someone else.
Residents must be full time to qualify.
There are income requirements of $100,000 for single filers, $150,000 for head of household, and $200,000 for joint filers.
The first round will go out in June.
Deadlines for up to $800 approaching
New Mexico stimulus payments
New Mexico has approved tax rebate payments of $500 for individuals and $1,000 for joint filers.
The payments are staggered, meaning single filers will see $250 in June and $250 in August.
For joint filers, they’ll see $500 the same two months.
Your tax return needs to be filed by May 31, 2022 to qualify.
