The New York Yankees made a roster move before Monday’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium.
The team placed third baseman Josh Donaldson on MLB’s COVID-19 injured list and recalled Miguel Andújar from the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
Manager Aaron Boone spoke to the media and said Donaldson told the Yankees he was feeling symptoms but had not yet been tested for COVID-19.
This comes a day after outfielder Joey Gallo and catcher Kyle Higashioka was placed on the list after feeling symptoms.
Donaldson played in Game 1 of Sunday’s doubleheader but did not play in Game 2.
