Syracuse Crunch season comes to an end with overtime loss to Laval in Game 5

The Syracuse Crunch had their season come to an end on Tuesday night with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Laval Rocket in Game 5 of the North Division Series at the Upstate Medical University Arena.

Syracuse jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but after that, it was all Laval as they scored three unanswered goals to secure the victory and advance to the North Division Finals.


Anthony Richard and Ryan Jones scored for the Crunch while Max Lagace stopped 33-of-36 shots.

Alex Belzile, Cedric Paquette, and Gabriel Bourque tallied for Laval while Cayden Primeau turned aside 32-of-34 shots.

Syracuse finished 0-for-1 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
