Seneca Falls woman sentenced to prison after significant drug bust last year

A Seneca Falls woman who was arrested last year as part of a drug bust is headed to prison.

Rachael Winfield, 38, of Seneca Falls was arrested alongside Daquan James, 25, in July after a search warrant was executed at their Mynderse Street home.

Police recovered more than 60 grams of cocaine, 86 oxycodone pills, digital scales, and an electric stun gun.

Undersheriff John Cleere said it was a ‘significant’ drug bust for the county.

Last week Seneca County Judge Barry Porsch sentenced Winfield to 3.5 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to the felony charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance- with the intent to sell.

James is scheduled to be sentenced soon. His sentencing was delayed due to health issues.
