Multiple charges against Geneva man following vehicle pursuit

Police arrested a Geneva man following a vehicle pursuit.

According to a news release, the Geneva Police Department arrested Timothy J. Gay, 36, of Geneva for criminal possession of a controlled substance, DWI, unlicensed operation, reckless driving, and numerous other traffic violations.

Gay was observed by members of the Geneva Police Department operating his vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. When officers attempted to perform a traffic stop, Gay failed to stop. During the pursuit, he threw a large quantity of narcotics out of the window in attempt to conceal the illegal substances. Once the vehicle came to a stop, officers placed the individual into custody. While speaking to Gay, it was learned that he was intoxicated. Additionally, a warrant was filed against Gay since he is currently on parole.

Gay was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
