UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance has opened a new outpatient office at 699 South Main Street in Canandaigua to offer convenient access to care for people in Canandaigua and areas south of Rochester.
UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance provides 15,000 surgeries and 220,000 outpatient visits to patients throughout western New York each year. It offers inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic care at Thompson Hospital, as well as numerous UR Medicine hospitals and clinics in Rochester and the Southern Tier. The Main Street Canandaigua outpatient clinic expands Canandaigua-area patients’ options for specialty outpatient care close to home.
The new orthopaedics office is conveniently located adjacent to a Thompson Health Urgent Care. Many patients with orthopaedic injuries who visit the Urgent Care for initial treatment will be able to schedule follow-up visits at the new orthopaedic site, which offers the following sub-specialties:
- Hand and Upper Extremity
- Adult Reconstruction
- Sports Medicine, Operative and Non-Operative
- Orthopaedic Oncology
- Physiatry and Non-Operative Spine
The 12,000-square foot facility includes 16 exam rooms; two cast rooms; X-ray imaging; as well as telemedicine and consult spaces. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
More orthopaedic patient services are coming to the plaza in the coming months: Next door to the new orthopaedic outpatient facility, Thompson Health Rehabilitation Services is renovating a 14,000-square foot space to offer a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and athletic training as well as lymphedema, hand, and aquatic therapies, with a therapy pool on site. Rehabilitation Services’ other clinics, in Victor and Farmington, will remain in their current locations.
