Lengthy state police investigation turns up drugs, guns, and ammo

Police arrested three Howard residents following a narcotic investigation.

According to a news release, State Police arrested John Dellapenna Jr., 34, for criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal using drug paraphernalia. Police also arrested John Dellapenna, 57, for criminal possession of cannabis and Lori A. Miller, 57 for criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.


The arrests were a culmination of a multiple month investigation by the New York State Police, the Elmira Police Department Drug Enforcement, and the Steuben County District Attorney’s office. Police uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana, marijuana plants, loaded handguns and shotguns, digital scales, packing materials, multiple 9mm Glock magazines, and numerous 9mm and 45 caliber rounds. 

All three individuals are to be arraigned at the Steuben County CAP.
