Food Stamps: 1.5 million Americans will see emergency benefits for another month

Emergency food stamps have been extended for 1.5 million Americans who rely on SNAP benefits to feed their families.

Over $318 million dollars in emergency food stamps will be sent this month from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

This was announced on April 1, 2022.

The state was given federal approval from the USDA to allow the extension of emergency benefits for the month of April.
