Sabres top Predators on RJ Night

On the night the Buffalo Sabres honored longtime play-by-play announcer Rick Jeanneret, the team picked up a 4-3 victory over the Nashville Predators.

Tage Thompson scored twice in the Sabres’ 4-3 win over the Predators on Friday at KeyBank Center. Peyton Krebs and Victor Olofsson also tallied for Buffalo.

Craig Anderson turned aside 22-of-25 shots for the Sabres, allowing all three goals in the first period.

Filip Forsberg, Michal McCarron and Jeremy Lauzon found the back of the net for Nashville.


Juuse Saros stopped 31-of-35 shots in the loss.

Buffalo finished 1-for-2 on the power play and a perfect 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres also extended their point streak to eight games.

Buffalo will be back in action on Sunday when they host the Florida Panthers at 1 p.m.
