Finger Lakes Beverage Conference postponed until 2023

The Finger Lakes Beverage Conference, organized by Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension, originally scheduled for April 26-28, 2022 at del Lago Resort and Casino has been postponed until 2023.

After a successful virtual conference in the spring of 2021 the hope was to hold an in-person conference in April of 2022 and planning proceeded with that intention in the fall of 2021.  However, even as current infection rates decline, the Covid-19 pandemic over the past several months created a strain on staffing, speaker availability and conference planning resources.  The planning committee determined it was unable to guarantee that this year’s event would match the quality of previous conferences and a decision was reached to postpone the conference until next spring.

The Finger Lakes Craft Beverage Conference began in 2013 as a brewery and cidery startup workshop.  In 2020, the name was changed to reflect the area’s maturing beverage industry to include all the beverages: beer, cider, wine, mead, and distilled spirits, produced in the Finger Lakes.  The conference has featured national and regional experts in the craft beverage field covering topics that include supply, production, legal issues, industry trends, marketing, and customer service.  Since its inception the Premier Sponsor has been Waterloo Container.

Seneca County CCE looks forward to welcoming everyone to a ‘normal’ Finger Lakes Beverage Conference in the Spring of 2023.  Please continue to visit the website at www.flxcraftbevcon.com for updates or contact FLXBevCon organizer Judy Wright.  She can be reached at [email protected] or by calling 315-539-9251 ext. 109.
