The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on a two car crash that happened in the village of Clyde on November 11.
Deputies say Mary Smith, 53, of Clyde was traveling south on Lock Street when Anna Labdell, 42, of Clyde was traveling east on Route 31.
Smith failed to yield the right of way for Labdell at the intersection of Lock Street and Route 31, causing the collision. After further investigation it was revealed that Labdell was operating her vehicle without a license.
Both were transported to Newark Wayne Community Hospital for non life threatening injuries. They were each issued traffic citations returnable to local court.
Deputies say the vehicles had to be towed from the scene. They were assisted by Clyde Fire Department, Wayne County ALS, and Eastern Wayne Ambulance.
