D&W Diesel in Aurelius sold to Jasper Holdings, Inc.

D&W Diesel in Aurelius has been sold to Jasper Holdings Inc. The remanufacturer and distributor of Diesel engine components and employee 330 people was acquired by the Indiana-based Jasper Holdings in a deal that should keep the Cayuga County business running.

The Citizen reported that Greg Wrona who had been serving as Vice President will now serve as President of the D&W subsidiary.

Doug and Dave Wayne reportedly wanted to take a less active role in the company, but wanted to find a buyer who would continue the local operation.

“(The Waynes) felt this was the most responsible thing to do to ensure D&W’s continuation,” Wrona told The Citizen.

Jasper is viewed as a well-respected part of the industry.
