TUESDAY AM UPDATE: Victims in serious, two car DWI crash along Rt. 332 in Farmington identified, remain in critical condition at Strong

State police provided another update to a crash that happened at the intersection of State Route 332 and Collett Road in Farmington earlier this month.

As of November 9 both individuals in the second car, which was struck from behind by a speeding vehicle, remained in critical condition.

Police identified those victims as William Lovetro, 63, of Rochester and Richard Sciascia, 53, of Rochester. They remained hospitalized at Strong Memorial since the crash on November 1. Their condition was described as ‘critical’.

They said the investigation remained active, but Jeffery Shinsing, 32, of Canandaigua was charged with first-degree vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated, as cited with a number of other traffic violations.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on November 1, according to troopers, who say that Shinsing was traveling north on Route 332 at a high rate of speed. His vehicle slammed into the back of a second northbound vehicle, which had slowed down approaching the intersection.
