Canandaigua Country Club and Nolan’s on Canandaigua Lake are partnering for an all-new experience.
The two announced they will break ground on a new event space at Nolan’s at Canandaigua Country Club in early November. The temperature-controlled, three-season structure will replace the current lakefront seasonal tent site overlooking Canandaigua Lake.
“From baby and bridal showers, corporate events, parties and weddings, the new site will be a premier special event destination that truly takes advantage of one of the best views on Canandaigua Lake,” said Nick Violas, Nolan’s owner. “2022 is set to be a record-breaking year in terms of the number of weddings and we look forward to welcoming guests as they celebrate lakeside at Nolan’s at Canandaigua Country Club.”
The 3,200-square-foot event space will have a 200-person capacity and will boast retractable glass doors to create an open-air environment with unobstructed views of Canandaigua Lake and the Club’s famous sunsets. The lakefront site will feature an outdoor kitchen with a woodfire pizza oven and grill, firepit, a bridal suite and 500 feet of covered patio.
“Last spring and summer, we were booked every weekend for weddings and events, and we don’t see things slowing down,” Violas said. “Our new temperature-controlled venue will allow guests to take advantage of being lakeside from even earlier in the spring through late fall. Living in Upstate New York we only have so many warm days and we are excited to be able to extend our event season even further.”

The plan has allowed us to invest in our golf course, new club house and now an event facility on the shores of Canandaigua Lake. We kick off our 100th year in 2022 and we are excited to have a venue that will continue to drive success for future generations at Canandaigua Country Club.”
The building was designed by Hanlon Architects and will be built by Reidman Construction with an anticipated completion date in early June 2022. Nolan’s is already booking events for 2022 and beyond in the new venue.
Nolan’s at Canandaigua Country Club has received WeddingWire’s “Couples Choice” award consistently each year from 2017-2020. Nolan’s on Canandaigua Lake has managed the restaurant and special events site at the Canandaigua Country Club since 2014.
