Gas prices dramatically increase within the last two weeks

Gas prices increased drastically in the last two weeks.

The national average for regular gasoline is now $3.44 per gallon.

One year ago at this time gas was $1.22 less than it is now.


The cost of crude oil has gone up, resulting in the jump in price.

The highest price for gas right now is in San Francisco Bay where gas is $4.65, and the lowest is in Houston, Texas at $2.91.

Diesel rose as well by $0.14, making it $3.59 per gallon.
