CDC reports salmonella outbreak linked to red, yellow, and white onions imported from Mexico

The CDC reports the latest salmonella outbreak that is linked to onions.

Over 650 people have reportedly gotten sick across 37 different states, including New York.

The culprit are red, white, and yellow onions that were imported from Mexico and distribute by ProSource.

Investigations into other possible distributors are ongoing.

The CDC is urging people not to eat onions if they aren’t aware of where they came from.

If they were from Chihuahua, Mexico through ProSource the CDC says to throw them away and sanitize any surface they touched.
