Lake Ontario will have its outflow levels increased beginning Oct. 16 for eight weeks to get the water levels back to what they should have been.
The outflows were decreased between May 29 and July 16 due to a drought in the spring until the levels reached their normal point.
The outflows were also decreased between Oct. 8 and 11 to help boaters get their boats out of the water.
The increase in outflow will help get rid of excess water to return the lake to normal levels again.
