Two arrested for stealing from Sally’s Beauty Supply before fleeing and crashing into telephone pole

Two people were arrested after allegedly stealing items from Sally’s Beauty Supply in Victor before fleeing in a vehicle.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, Ontario County Deputies responded to the store for a larceny complaint.

Once police located the vehicle, they tried to initiate a traffic stop. The driver failed to comply, leading police on a pursuit that ended when the driver crashed into a telephone pole at the intersection of Route 96 and 251 in the Town of Victor.

There were three occupants who were all transported by ambulance to F.F. Thompson hospital for treatment of injuries.

Police arrested the driver, Kenyatta Williams, 42, of Rochester, for DWAI, stealing, and various traffic violations including unlawfully fleeing.

A passenger, Meghan Rae Buckland, 29, of Rochester, was arrested for stealing from the store as well, and total recovered merchandise amounted to $991.25.

Both were issued uniform appearance tickets to appear in court at a later date.
