Maskless fans were spotted in videos and photos during a Syracuse University football game and local leaders saw it.
They expressed disappointment in fans inability to follow the rules.
32,000 people showed up to the game and showed vaccine cards and negative COVID tests, and also agreed upon entry to wear the required masks. Many did not.
Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh said he hopes fans will wear masks this weekend.
The mask mandate was not put into place by the county, but the school.
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said if there were positive cases at the game, the numbers and consequences will start showing up later in the week.
