Tioga County man arrested following an incident where he pointed a shotgun at a State Trooper

A Tioga County man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at a trooper shortly before barricading himself inside of his home.

Dustin White, 35, of Candor, was arrested and charged with menacing a police officer, possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

Around 8 p.m. on Thursday a trooper witnessed a man walking down the street in Candor with a shotgun over his shoulder.

White then pointed the shotgun at the trooper when he was approached.

He was taken into custody around 6 a.m. the following morning after barricading himself in his home.

The situation is being investigated.
