The plan for Cayuga Community College’s budget next year is for both a reduction of spending and no raise in tuition or fees.
The reduction in spending reflects on the projected enrollment and revenue from tuition, funding and aid. The projections are based on 1,600 full time students.
Two new programs planned for the fall include the culinary program and human services program.
One of the ways the school is saving money is by not filling vacant faculty positions, but instead having faculty fill into the new programs.
The low expectation of enrollment also keeps costs down.
