Two dancers from the Palmyra-Macedon Conservatory of Dance won first place at the Sheer Elite International Dance Competition Finals in Massachusetts.
Sixteen-year-olds Emily Craver and Joseph Homer competed against 214 other dancers and Craver was crowned Miss Senior Sheer Elite International for her lyrical performance of “Too Good at Goodbyes” and won first place overall soloist for her jazz performance of “Killing Time.”
Homer and Craver performed a duet of “Au Revoir Au Roi” and won first place for overall duets.
After being selected to compete for a chance to win the Judge’s Choice Award, they successfully won.
The Palmyra-Macedon Conservatory of Dance was a recipient of the Artistry Award.
Craver and Homer won first place at the Buffalo Regional in March, qualifying them for the finals.
They will continue to perform and compete along the East Coast, with their next performance in Virginia Beach.
